About Upper Dublin High School

Upper Dublin High School is recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in accordance with the US Department of Education. In 2007, the school was ranked #1 high school in Montgomery Country according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.  Upper Dublin has also been recognized amongst the top 100 in Pennsylvania. Upper Dublin High School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.  The school has a 99%+ graduation rate, and more than 95% of graduates continue on to a two or four-year college.  Upper Dublin High School is represented at each service academy and almost all top universities.

Mr. Schultz is a 1984 graduate of Upper Dublin High School and received his bachelor and master degrees from Lehigh University. His professional experiences include services as a math teacher, math coordinator, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development, and, more recently, Assistant Superintendent of Schools.

Phil Chang

Mr. Chang is a graduate of North Penn High School (’97) and the University of Virginia, where earned his bachelor (’01) and master degrees (’02).   He is currently finishing his doctoral program at Arcadia University.  For the first 19 years of his career, Mr. Chang served as a teacher, coach, and assistant principal in the Colonial School District. As an assistant principal at Colonial Middle School, Mr. Chang created the master schedule and served as the athletic director for the school.  At Upper Dublin High School, Mr. Chang oversees the development of the master schedule.

 Ernie Rehr

Mr. Rehr earned his bachelor and master degrees from Gwynedd Mercy University. Mr. Rehr was a teacher and baseball coach at Upper Moreland High School prior to becoming the athletic director and assistant principal at New Hope-Solebury High school and middle school. Most recently, Mr. Rehr served as the assistant principal at Lower Moreland High School. Mr. Rehr will oversee attendance as well as two grades at Upper Dublin High School.

Ashley Martonik

Ms. Martonik earned her master's degree in Educational Leadership from East Stroudsburg University. In the 2017-18 academic year, she accepted a position as a Special Education Supervisor in the Pocono Mountain School District and the following academic year transitioned into an Assistant Principal at the secondary level. 

New to the Upper Dublin School District this year, but in her sixth year as an administrator overall, Ms. Martonik will be the House Principal overseeing Grade 11 as well as Clubs and Activities. Ms. Martonik is looking forward to being involved in the school community and fostering a positive climate to promote student growth.
