Hall of Fame

The Upper Dublin High School Alumni Hall of Fame is designed to honor alumni who have achieved distinction, outstanding accomplishment or significant contributions within their professions, in their communities or in the world. The program also provides positive role models and promotes excellence and inspiration for current students.  Nominations are considered in the following categories:  Arts, Entertainment & Communications; Business & Law; Education; Government & Military; Medicine, Science & Technology; and, Philanthropy, Theology, and Community Service.

Upper Dublin High School Announces 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees

Upper Dublin High School will induct 10 distinguished graduates into its Alumni Hall of Fame, it was proudly announced by Robert Schultz, principal of Upper Dublin High School, and Heidi Yutzler-Overton, program chairperson and Upper Dublin Education Foundation board president. Following a rigorous nomination and committee review process, these alumni were selected for the Hall of Fame’s fifth class. 

The Upper Dublin Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes alumni who have achieved distinction, an outstanding accomplishment or have made a significant contribution within their professions, in their communities or in the world. 

Co-sponsored by the Upper Dublin School District and the Upper Dublin Education Foundation, the Alumni Hall of Fame has previously inducted four classes: 21 alumni in March 2017; 16 alumni in April 2019; 18 alumni in April 2021; and 13 alumni in March 2023.

Inductees are selected according to six categories: Arts, Entertainment & Communications; Business & Law; Education; Government & Military; Medicine, Science & Technology; and Philanthropy, Theology & Community Service. 

The 2025 honorees are as follows:

ARTS, ENTERTAINMENT & COMMUNICATIONS

  • Phil Roy (‘77) - Multiple Grammy Award-winning songwriter and solo recording artist; works have been performed and recorded by Rock & Roll Hall of Famers and appear on Oscar-winning film soundtracks; songs are praised for capturing the human condition

  • Rachel Zatcoff (‘05) - New York City-based musical theatre actress and opera performer; Broadway leading lady and multiple Off-Broadway and regional starring credits; International and National Tours; private voice/coaching instructor; Masterclass teacher for all ages of actors, dancers, musical theatre singers, and classical, rock/pop, celtic/folk singers 

BUSINESS & LAW

  • Michael Bertin, JD (‘91) - Award-winning and renowned family law attorney in PA; co-author, PA’s standard child custody textbook; leader in the Philadelphia and PA State Bar Associations; equity partner at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, LLP in Philadelphia

  • Jordana Harris Feldman, JD (‘93) - Nationally recognized legal expert in the design, implementation and administration of high-profile, high-stakes victim compensation programs settling outside of court including the Epstein Victims Compensation Program and September 11th Victims Compensation Fund; adjunct professor at NYU’s School of Law

EDUCATION 

  • Belinda Yim Chen, MD, FACP (‘83) - Board-certified internal medicine physician; Associate Professor of Medicine, specializing in community-oriented primary care, at Johns Hopkins’ Bayview Division of General Internal Medicine; author and editor, standard reference book for medical curriculum developers; mentor; multiple honors for teaching excellence and educational innovation

GOVERNMENT & MILITARY 

  • Andrew Kim, MD, FACC (‘97) - Lt. Colonel, U.S. Army (honorably discharged); U.S. Army ROTC at University of Pennsylvania, Temple University School of Medicine; 14 years active duty as a Board-certified cardiologist, surgeon, Chief of Medical Residents, Chief Medical Officer serving at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Germany and at Fort Belvoir, VA; multiple awards and honors  

  • Michael Pelkey (‘72) - Colonel, U.S. Army (Retired); 30 years active duty; notably Commander of the Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District managing full spectrum life-cycle engineering & environmental services to the U.S. European and African Commands in support of national security initiatives and military contingencies in Western, Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Caucasus, Turkey, Israel and Africa

MEDICINE, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

  • Michele Koons, PhD (‘97) - Anthropologist and Archeologist; Director of Anthropology, Denver Museum of Nature & Science; curator, researcher, grant writer, author, teacher, lecturer, presenter; international field experience project leader and director; National Geographic Explorer appearing as an expert on The History Channel, Science Channel and PBS; promotes girls/women in science 

PHILANTHROPY, THEOLOGY & COMMUNITY SERVICE 

  • Andrew Rathfon (‘97) - Fort Washington Fire Company volunteer, 20+ years, chief, grant writer; Upper Dublin Township, Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator; Upper Merion Police Department, 20+ years, patrolman, detective, MontCo Gun Violence & Drug Task Force, FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force; Eagle Scout; multiple community and professional awards and recognitions; youth sports volunteer 

  • Patrick Zollo (‘60) - Upper Dublin elected official, 12 years, Board of Commissioners, president, 10 years; Fort Washington Fire Company, Life Member, 40+ years, chief, 9 years; assisted in development and construction of the George Haggar Fire Training Academy; recipient of the Upper Dublin Medal for Outstanding Citizen

The Alumni Hall of Fame Gallery is located across from the Cardinal Room on the second floor of the high school. 

A full day of Alumni Hall of Fame activities is scheduled for Friday, April 4, 2025.  Honorees will have opportunities to interact with students throughout the school day which also features an Inductee Meet & Greet continental breakfast, a mid-day lunch with administrators, and a high school building tour. An evening dessert reception for inductees, family, friends and the public, to be held at the UDHS Alumni Hall of Fame Gallery, will be followed by the 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame Awards Program in the UDHS Performing Arts Center. Tickets for the evening reception and awards program may be purchased at udefoundation.org beginning early March 2025.   

The inaugural UDHS Alumni Hall of Fame was made possible by a generous donation of two members of the Class of 1996: Ben Kirshner and Josh Lamberg in honor of Carl Janetka, Upper Dublin teacher and coach. Nominations

The 2025 nomination portal is closed but will reopen in my May 1, 2025 to accept nominations for 2027 induction. The nomination deadline will be October 1, 2026.
